Green Fintech 2024 cohort members, organisers and H.E. Gilles Roth, Minister of Finance of Luxembourg

September was a busy month for ImpactScope. We presented our Greenwashing Identifier tool at events in the UK, Switzerland and Luxembourg.

The month started off in England with the London edition of GREENTECH FESTIVAL on September 5th. Since its origins in 2018, the GREENTECH FESTIVAL has grown into one of the most important global showcases for high potential green tech and green fintech ventures. Originally conceived by former Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg and greentech entrepreneur Marco Voigt , the festival has stops in Los Angeles, Berlin, Singapore and London.

The theme of this year’s event was “Turning Crisis into Opportunity” and keynote speakers included Nico Rosberg, former President of Ireland, Mary Robinson, and Forest Green Rovers Football Club Chairman, Dale Vince. ImpactScope and five other high-impact ventures were selected to participate in the green start-up showcase.

Luxembourg is the second largest asset management hub in the world (after the US) and is home to 21% of global ESG AUM as well as 43% of world’s sustainable bonds. During the week we were introduced to all the key players in the local regulatory and asset management ecosystems and we attended over a dozen workshops, seminars and master classes, including the inaugural Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative Summit.
